- Frank Lampard says Sergio Aguero always picked up fines from the club
- The Argentine striker always turned up late to training and never cared
- Aguero would accept his fine and brag about how he would score every weekend
Former Manchester City midfielder Frank Lampard was asked which former teammate of his was always picking up fine and he surprising said Sergio Aguero at Manchester City.
According to the retired footballer Aguero was so relaxed in training that he used to constantly turn up late and not even care about paying the fine.
He would accept his fine then boast about his ability to score hat-tricks every weekend.
The ex-England international and Chelsea legend joined City on loan in 2014 after ending his 13-year-stint with Chelsea and joined MLS side New York City, making 32 appearances and scoring six goals.
Speaking on Sky Sports show Soccer AM on Sky Sports, Lampard said:"At Chelsea I can't remember but I will jump to Manchester City.
"Aguero picked up a fair few. He just didn't care. He was so laid back and would just stroll out to the training pitch like five minutes late.
"[The coaches would say] right you're fined" and he would say "OK, no problem. Wait until the weekend and I'll score a hat-trick and everyone will be happy."
Asked who his favourite coach was during his career, the former England star could not seperate Carlo Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho.
"Jose's sessions when he first came to Chelsea were such an eye opener for all of us because he was so forward thinking and it was all the ball but before that it was about running," continued Lampard.
"With Jose it was ball work from the start of the season. I used to love training under Ancelotti as he was such a good people person. He made you feel good every day. They were the two standout managers on that front."
